Animating Your Avatar?

Hi people of MapleAnime i don't really want to sound nooby 
but do you guys have any idea how to animate your avatar? I tried putting my animated GIF file into paint but it just shows one picture. If i upload it to MapleAnime directly it says it's too big. So yeah any suggestions?
