The reason why there is a minimum character requirement is to allow less spam. If people post short posts, what value would their posts have? If the topic titles are to short, they could become unclear.
For example:
1. This game doesn't work
2. The game Piratestory doesn't work

Topic title nr.2 is much more clear.


Don't use post extenders. When your post is too short, add more detail in them so it will become a better described post/subject.
