No.14 Chapter 1

It is...bright. I can see this...light.
This is the first time I've seen the light.
I can see shadows, talking to each other...
Their voices are so faint.. I can't make out any words...
First things first. Where am I? Who am I?
Oh no, the darkness... It's coming back...
My eyes feel so heavy... Can't keep the darkness away...
I awoke much later, the two shadows were gone. There was a man in front of me, looking down at some object. Everytime he touched it, the object made a 'click' sound.
"This can't be right...," the man said frantically ", this is impossible!"
I reached out to touch the man, but my arms, so heavy, were stopped by something, I don't know, invisible.
The man heard the sound I made when I touched the invisible wall and looked at me, and his eyes suddenly widened. He then took something from his pocket.
"Come here quickly!!" he yelled into it.
I only thought how foolish he looked, yelling at an inanimate object, as if it could respond. How absurd.
Suddenly a woman in a long, white jacket came and asked what was the matter. The man pointed to me and she covered her mouth with her hand.
"How can this... But this is not...," she mumbled to herself, then turned to the man and exclaimed ", let him out!"
"But that could be-"
"I don't care, let him out!"
The man, startled, turned to the device in front of him and made another 'click' sound. I heard a noise from all around me, and I thought I saw the invisible wall move away. I moved towards the man and woman, but my feet gave away, and I fell with a thud, embarassed.
The man and woman came and picked me up saying 'easy now' and 'be gentle.'
"Are you ok?" asked the woman.
I looked at her and opened my mouth to speak, but no words would come to me.
"He can't speak," the man said ", we should just dispose of him!"
"A newborn baby can not speak, yet we do not dispose of it's precious life." the woman seemed to be defending me.
"He is at least a 16 year progress, he should know how to speak, besides, the computer shows that he can think just like any one of us, the exact words we say right now can be thought up of in his head!" the man exclaimed.
Even though they were talking about me, they had forgotten to help me up. So as I tried to get up, I yet again fell with another thud, and they both looked at me.
The woman crossed her arms and sighed ", He will be my responsibilty."
The man became furious, but left the room. The woman helped me stand.
"Well then," she said ", let us go No.14..."

I know I'm kinda messed up with my fan fics since I haven't even gotten past chapter 1, but I will try my hardest to complete this 1

and also I will most likely NOT use any of my friends here on mapleanime in this fan fic
